What is it?
What we consider to be ‘polite’ is an individual perception shaped by our own cultural backgrounds. But what we consider to be ‘polite’ is not necessarily universal, and different perceptions and behaviours can create issues in multicultural teams. Learn the importance of politeness across cultures.

How intention is key to recognising polite/impolite behaviour, and learning how to adapt your reaction according
Explore what is considered polite and impolite in one's own culture and how that may differ in other cultures
Strategies to develop open conversations about ‘culture’ in the workplace and how to avoid cultural misunderstanding regarding perceptions of politeness
Develop an understanding for what perceived polite/impolite behaviour is, covering areas such as communication, gestures, hygiene, shared spaces and more

Is this course eligible for CPD points?
Upon successful completion, participants are awarded a certificate which details the commitment involved. This allows HR departments to make a determination as to the allocation of CPD points for successful completion of our courses, according to their own internal CPD systems.
