Practise using these modal verbs in the past form

Could have, would have, should have

Complete the following sentences with either 'could have', 'would have' or 'should have', or in the negative form ('could not have', 'should not have' or 'would not have'). In these examples, don't use contractions, but remember when speaking, contractions are nearly always used.
1.
I (not send) the email, I apologise.

We really (listen) to the marketing team before deciding on the strategy.

As a business, we (not afford) the investment until now.

I (tell) you about it sooner, but I have only just found out myself.
5.
He (not get) the job, even if he had arrived to the interview on time.

Don't use contractions (but use them when you speak)

I'm so glad you came over to speak to me, I (not recognise) you otherwise.
